Our focus is on providing each patient with a comprehensive diagnosis and personalised care plan. GYON’s gynaecological oncologists consult at the Mater Medical Centre in South Brisbane and perform surgical procedures at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.

We treat patients throughout Queensland for a range of malignant and complex benign gynaecological conditions, and we are a tertiary referral base for other gynaecologists and oncologists.

Our three gynaecological oncologists, Dr Nim Cabraal, Dr Nisha Jagasia and Professor Lewis Perrin, work collaboratively to ensure each patient has access to timely care and intervention. This provides patients with reassurance that whatever their treatment needs, they’ll receive high-level, tailored care as quickly as possible.

Our team collaborates extensively with international gynaecological oncology centres and local agencies including the Queensland Centre for Gynaeoncological Cancer (QCGC), Translational Research Institute (TRI), QMIR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and Queensland University of Technology. This close collaboration ensures our group remains active in research and clinical trials aimed at improving the current and future care of patients with gynaecological cancers.
