Commencing practice in 1993, Professor Perrin specialises in the surgical treatment of patients with endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulval or vaginal malignancies. He has a special interest in minimal access surgery for the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous conditions.

Professor Perrin uses the latest techniques in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery so patients can benefit from faster recovery times. His medical career is devoted to improving and prolonging the lives of women affected by gynaecological cancers.
Actively involved in clinical research, Professor Perrin is a major contributor to many trials that determine the best treatment for women with gynaecological cancers. He is a lead investigator in several studies ranging from laparoscopic surgery to new techniques in the delivery of chemotherapy.
He began his training at the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer in 1993 before spending a year as a clinical fellow in colorectal surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Professor Perrin is a sub-specialty examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a member of the Australian Society of Gynaecological Oncology.
